Twickenham Choral is heading to Spain 2-6 April 2024 and we would be delighted to welcome visitors to one of our concerts!
Concerts are likely to include performances in the cathedrals of Zamora, Avila and Salamanca. Salamanca is known as the golden city, thanks to its sandstone buildings which change colour as the day progresses. A UNESCO World Heritage site, this stunning medieval university city has ancient colonnaded squares, charming old streets and two cathedrals as well as a thriving food culture with tapas a speciality.
We will be performing a varied programme of works by Bach, Rheinberger, Rachmaninov, Brahms, Purcell, Stanford, Mendelssohn, Harris, Parry, Fenton and Farrington.
